Whilst staying in Salzburg, it’s a short bus ride across the border to Berchtesgaden, a very touristy town in Germany. Here the scenery around is spectacular. On a nice bright day I visited the town and took the new Jennerbahn Cable car to the mid station up the mountain. The top station was not accessible, as they looked to still be working on the cable up.
After a short walk up the hill, I had a nice lunch at this Haus.
After lunch I got the cable car back down – you can walk, but I wanted time to go on the boat trips on Lake Konigssee.
The boat ride stops at a mid point on the lake and the far end. As time was tight due to the queues for the boats, I went straight to the far end of the lake at Salet.
The reason for this, is there is another lake a short walk away that I had seen some great photos of. The pathway also gave great views on the way.
The temperature cooled a fair bit as Lake Obersee neared, and I think the water must of been cold. Though some people were swimming in it.
I decided against this an just took the views.
Again the camera I was using here was the Olympus EM5-mk2 with the 12-40mm pro lens.
