Swanage is an seaside town, that had its tourist heyday in the Victorian era. Swanage is close to Durleston Country Park, Old Harry Rocks , Poole Bay and Studland, which offer all offer landscape and wildlife photo opportunities.
The town also has a pier that is currently being restored that can be accessed cheaply, which also affords views of the old ruined pier which offers long exposure shot opportunities in the right light or with an ND stop filter. Also the old town and fishing boats and equipment offer photo opportunities.
Parking is available at a price in the town, and a seasonal park and ride scheme also takes place from Norden.
