I spent some of the late summer days photographing and filming some of the birdlife at Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve. One of the highlights for me was filming and shooting pictures of a new to me bird – a Wood Sandpiper.
I also was able to borrow a Manfrotto 393 head – which gave easy support to my 500mm F4 Canon Lens – and made filming these videos and taking these still of the herons and egrets much easier than hand holding it or using my own tripod head.
