Whitby is a seaside town in North Yorkshire, and a popular tourist attraction too. There are lots of things to visit and photograph there, including the ruined abbey, harbour and street scenes.
Parking can be difficult in peak times, so using the park and ride is recommended. In addition you may want to get a train there – either via the main train or perhaps better on the Esk Valley Railway Heritage line.
Around the Abbey, view can be seen out to see, and there are also the famous 99 Steps.
This information site is a great place to look up things to do and see in the town. www.visitwhitby.com.
If you are in the area for a while then the nearby Yorkshire Moors are well worth a visit to for landscapes and wildlife.
