Stourhead is a National Trust Estate near Mere in Dorset. The estate features an large garden which offers excellent landscape photography opportunities all year round, featuring a stunning lake and views. The estate also has a Palladium mansion and estate house that can be explored.
For photographers the landscaped garden which opened in the 18th Century, will surely be the drawing point to a visit. The views vary year round with the seasons, and in addition some close ups of trees, and fungi can be undertaken. There are also some grotto dotted around, which can be used to take themselves, and some make good locations for shots of family looking over the lake.
