Langford Lakes is a Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Reserve near Salisbury.
The reserve consists of 3 Lakes that were originally gravel excavation sites in the 70’s and 80’s. A 4th lake has been put in place in the Summer of 2013, with a new hide added there to the existing 4 at the reserve.
The reserve attract a wide range of wildlife, with lots of bird life including Great Crested Grebes, Grasshopper and Sedge Warblers, Canada Geese, and several species of ducks. During the migration seasons other birds also visit, see the trusts website for species information. In addition during the summer months the vegetation brings to life a host of insect life including dragon and damselflies, making it a good location for bird and macro photography.
The parking at the site is free and there are toilets and a visitor centre to visit, with an updated board of recent sightings. The reserve is suitable for disabled access.
No dogs are allowed on the reserve.
