After taking some Autumn Landscapes images at Anderwood in the New Forest last weekend, I used some of my Topaz Labs plugins to create different looks to the original photographs.
I did this to
- Create new looks to the images.
- Brighten things up as the weather was overcast and dull.
Here are 3 different images, processed with various Topaz Plugins, along with the original image in each case for comparison.
First this shot taken into dull white sunlight.
First of all on this image, I used just a single Topaz Restyle Effect ( Bright Yellow Tulips ) to create the appearance of a blue light in the background.
When using Topaz Restyle I also saw another effect, (amongst the many that are supplied with the plugin) that I liked with this image – (Maized Owl).
Then I added a glow effect from Topaz Glow on top of this effect.
Which I then used on two seperate layers in Photoshop CC. This I merged with the previous ( just Restyled ) image using Multiply and Screen blend modes to create this. It carries some of the glow effect through but much more subtly.
Finally with this image, I used Topaz Simplify on top of this to get this variation.
The next image is a portrait shot of some autumn trees. Again into some white light from the sun.
With this one I added a boost to the colours and details in ( Topaz Detail 3 ). I then used Topaz Restyle to tone the colours, and make the background light look like warm yellow sunlight.
With this final shot, I used four Topaz Plugins to create some art like effects.
Here’s is the original.
Then with the use of Topaz Restyle and Detail effects added.
On top of that to create an art effect look, I used Topaz Simplify (BuzSim Effect) – which gives this.
I then used yet another Topaz Plugin ( Adjust ) to alter this to painterly effect.
I hope you like at least some of the results.
